Whether you’ve recently bought a prefab shed or even if you’ve had one for a while you’ll know it’s a challenge to keep tidy and clutter free. They can be incredibly handy but, on the other hand, they don’t always have a huge amount of space available, these tips will hopefully help you maximise your space and give you some inspiration for your own storage solutions.
The basic options are often the best and here’s another example, shelving
placed strategically can help to clear masses of debris. Whether at a high level for storing piles of light items or a free-standing unit with adjustable shelves so you can change it to suit your needs, this is a great option to help you get your feet clear.
Here at LM Concrete Garages, we can provide shelving brackets to facilitate shelving.
If you enjoy your DIY, a workbench could be the solution for you. Not only does it give you a set space for you to get to work it is also full of drawers for all of your bits & bobs. Add racking to the wall behind for tool storage and easy access when at work.
If you have a larger shed or even just a tall one, you may be able to utilize the space above you. Beams running across the room above you could be ideal for balancing a ladder across, you could even add extra wood to create more shelf space. Another option could be installing a simple pulley system; this could be used for anything from lifting a single large item to a platform with boxes stacked on. Use your imagination with this one as there are so many possible options, just be careful when working at height!
If you want to put heavier items or a pulley system, please inform us when placing an order so we can supply stronger trusses.
We hope you have found this post useful, shed organisation can seem like a daunting task but if you use your space efficiently it can be done easily and within a weekend!
