When installing concrete garages, the type of door you choose is important as the physical characteristics of your garages may be suited to a limited selection of styles. When choosing a garage, door there are several things to consider, such as the opening mechanism and the material and finish.

Choosing Your Concrete Garage Door

L M Concrete Garages manufacture our own range of garage doors, including an ‘L&M Concrete galvanized steel up and over door’. To give our customers a larger selection of choice, we can also offer any door in the Garador Range.

When choosing a garage door from the Garador Range, there is a wide selection of options to consider. The first consideration being the opening mechanism, the selection to choose from includes;

Maximizer Retractable Door Gear – This form of door is operated by horizontal tracks that are attached to the top of the door frame to guide the door open. These doors are acknowledged for providing a remarkably smooth opening and closing action, ideal for electric operation.

Side Hinged- Side Hinged doors are a very popular and traditional operation as they provide excellent security and durable construction.

Sectional –Sectional doors offer a horizontal opening, however rather than retracting up into a coil shape, this door is constructed in vertical segments which draw back up onto the ceiling. These doors are perfect for smaller garages as they require little space internally and externally.

The next thing to consider is selecting the material and finish. There are a wide variety of designs to choose from, allowing you to customize the style, material and colour. The materials that we offer include steel, timber, GRP, ABS and insulated aluminium roller doors.

Each of these types have their own distinct advantages, so the one that is best for you will depend on the size of your space, the amount of driveway on your property and the overall curb appeal you wish to have. Our team of experts can help you choose the right garage door to ensure you get the best fit. To discuss your requirements further please call our support team. Contact details can be found here.
